A Story Behind the Portrait

A portrait of Susan and Milo, September 2025

When I first came across PawBuddy’s work, I knew right away that I wanted one. My girl has been by my side for so many years and as she’s gotten older, I’ve found myself wanting to hold on to every little moment with her. The portrait they created is beyond anything I expected, beautifully detailed, full of life. They captured her gentle, aging face so beautifully with those eye and expression. It feels real and warm, like a piece of our story I get to keep forever. I can’t thank them enough

A portrait of Joseph and Oliver - In Loving Memory 2001-2016

I wanted to give my dad something truly meaningful for his birthday. He lost his beloved Oliver many years ago, and always wished they had a photo together. When he placed the portrait on his desk and really looked at it, he just went quiet. There he was, holding Oliver once again, captured in a moment they never had the chance to keep. Now, Oliver sits beside him every day. A small portrait on his desk, but one that means more than words ever could

A portrait of Phoebe and Sugar - In Loving Memory 2007-2018

It always makes me smile, not everyone ends up with a raccoon in their arms.
What started as an unexpected rescue quietly turned into a bond that felt natural and real. Sugar wasn’t just a raccoon, he was comfort, curiosity, and a little bit of chaos wrapped in fur. Seeing this portrait feels like stepping back into one of those moments we never thought to pause for - simple, warm, and perfectly ours.

A portrait of Daniel and Max, October 2025

I was honestly surprised by how lifelike this portrait turned out.
The whole process was simple, fun, and it made such a meaningful gift. Seeing my dad and Max captured like this feels incredibly special. They offer so many styles that I already know this won’t be my last one.

A portrait of Sophie and Leo, December 2025

We never really got a good photo together. She never stayed still long enough, I never thought to insist and somehow those moments were always over before I thought to capture them. This portrait feels like a simple kind of magic. I’m very glad to have it now.

A portrait of Michael and Ruby - January 2026

There’s something about the way she fits so perfectly in my arms, like this is exactly where she’s meant to be.
t’s funny how much joy she brings into my everyday life without me even noticing at the time. Seeing us like this is simple and honest, just a small moment that shows how close we are.
